Monmouth to Andros Island

Student can choose to leave from Monmouth as a group or independently fly to Nassau's Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS). All participants need to be at Nassau airport by 1 pm on Sat Dec 30th in order to catch our Le Air flight to Andros at 3 pm...it takes ~1 hour to get thru customs and another ~1 hour to check in for the Le Air/Andros flight.

For those leaving from Monmouth...(tentative)

December 29, 2023

- Leave Monmouth College at ~4 pm heading for Quad Cities (MLI) in MC van.

- Arrive in MLI Airport Hotel in preparation of early flight next morning.

December 31st, 2023

- Leave hotel early...

- Flight from MLI to O'Hare (~30 mins), then on to Nassau (~2.5 hours).

- PASS THROUGH BAHAMIAN CUSTOMS (paperwork will be distributed/completed on the plane). USE CONNECTING FLIGHT LINES; ~1 hour

- Leave Nassau at 3:00 pm and arrive in Fresh Creek Airport (MYAF), Andros Island at 3:30 pm (LeAir 103)

- Transportation via vans from Fresh Creek to Forfar Field Station.

Andros Island to Monmouth

January 6th, 2023

Applies to all travelers

- Leave Forfar Field Station at 6:00 am and arrive at Fresh Creek Airport (MYAF) at 6:20 am

- Leave Andros Island at 7 am and arrive in Nassau (NAS) at 7:20 am (LeAir 102)

- Leave Nassau for home.

- Return to campus in MC van.
