Proposal

Acetaminophen is used as a pain reliever and fever reducer. It is the active ingredient in children’s Tylenol which is formulated as a viscous liquid elixir. This research determines the acetaminophen concentration in a sample of elixir using a compact voltammetry cell and applying the cyclic voltammetry which is an electrochemical method. In order to explore the voltammetry cell, other compounds will also be tested.

Instruments to be used

WaveNow ™ USB potentiostat with AfterMath ™ software.
