This page documents the build of a glassblowing lathe. Projected started on May 29, 2019 by BES and Andrew Ferris.

Introduction

So what is a lathe?

The most basic parts of a lathe include:

1) Head stock

2) Tail stock

3) Chuck

Construction

Step 1) can we control a stepper motor using an Arduino?

Step 2) Can we now run two stepper motors using an Arduino?

Step 4) Can we construct a glassblowing "chuck" to be mounted on the stepper motors?
