One of the interesting information from “Absolute Zero” movie is James Joule. James Joule was an English physicist who observed the relationship between heat and mechanical energy. James Joule was interested in the cannon experiments by Count Rumford, where heat was continuously generated by the mechanical work of the cannon. He collaborated with Lord Kelvin on the exchange rate of movement and heat which then was called energy. The unit of energy is named after him, Joules. Joule's laid the foundation for the theory of conservation of energy, which later was called the First Law of Thermodynamics.
