Welcome to the planning page for Chem 312 Spring 2022.

Greetings,

I am looking forward to getting back to the classroom (i have been on sabbatical this past fall); i hope you are ready to roll! Unfortunately, the first 2 weeks will be a bit non-traditional. Here is the game plan for the first 2-weeks:

1) Here is the syllabus, please read and understand.

2) I will not lecture on ZOOM...this may change if we stay virtual more than 2 weeks.

3) I will share daily (MWF) assignments via email/wiki at the start of each class period (9 am MWF).

4) We will not meet in person for the first lab (Tuesday 2-5), but during the second week, i will ask you to come into the PChem lab in smaller groups (2-3pm, 3-4pm, 4-5pm) to learn how to glassblow. As you may know, we have 4 glassblowing stations, so working in small groups might be a better strategy.

5) During these first 2 weeks, I expect you to check your email at class/lab time and then use the next 50 mins/4 hrs to complete the assignment. This is referred to as meeting synchronously. You may be asked to turn in (email) some work by the end of the class period (9:50 am).

6) We will use the table below to convey course content and expectations.
