Proposed Research Project
===Determination of Acetaminophen in a Children's Pain Relief Elixir=== Compact Voltammetry Cell
General Information
- Advisor: Professor Brad Sturgeon
Proposal
Acetaminophen is used as a pain reliever and fever reducer. It is the active ingredient in children’s Tylenol which is formulated as a viscous liquid elixir. This research determines the acetaminophen concentration in a sample of elixir using a compact voltammetry cell and applying the cyclic voltammetry which is an electrochemical method.
Instruments to be used
WaveNow ™ USB potentiostat with AfterMath ™ software.
