R is a programming language and R Studio is a programming environment.

After correct this, and installing R Studio (not required or mentioned in the EdX course), i was able to open R Studio. Below is a screen shot of the message received after launching R Studio...on startup i was asked if i wanted to install some additional libraries...i choose yes.
