Motivation
"A lot of doctors aren't keyed in to the human microbiome and as a result tend to prescribe wide scale antibiotics which wipeout your helpful microbiome. What they need is to have an understanding of hat harms and what helps in order to prescribe and even synthesize more specific antibiotics"- Bradley E. Sturgeon, PhD.
It is a life long dream of mine to become a doctor. A large part of that has been down to my fascination with the human body and the bacteria we interact with. this research is lined up with that dream. For the summer of 2022 I will be working with Zoie M Kruse and Professor Laura J Moore, PhD. to analyze the taxonomy of the soil microbiome.
