General Chemistry (Chem -140) Final Exam Spring 2020.

This exam is scheduled for Weds, May 13th. The exam will be delivered thru WebAssign. The exam will be very similar to the 2 previous WA exams. You will be given ample time to work the exam.

Credit/No Credit vs Letter Grade

As i hope you are aware, the College has allowed you the option to be assigned a letter grade (as usual) or to be assigned "credit/no credit". If you wish to choose this option, you MUST go to MyMC and select this option for each of your courses.

Recently i sent you an email with your "grades-so-far." I am offering the following options are well...read carefully

Option 1

If a passing letter grade (C- or better) is predicted with a 50% on the final exam, then you are currently passing and would be assigned credit for this course if you choose the "credit/no credit" option. This means that with this credit/no credit option selected, you do not need to take the final exam and you will be assigned "credit" for this course.

Option 2

If an A or A- is predicted with a 70% on the final exam, then you do not need to take the final exam and you will be assigned an "A" letter grade for this course.

Option 3

If the letter grade predicted by the 70% final exam score is considered "acceptable," then i will assign this letter grade as your final course grade. This means that, you do not need to take the final exam and i will assign the letter grade associated with the 70% final exam score.

Option 4=

If your exam average is 85% or greater and you find the 80% final exam letter grade to be "acceptable," then i will assign this letter grade as your final course grade. This means that, you do not need to take the final exam and i will assign the letter grade associated with the 80% final exam score.
