This experiment utilized a thermal imaging camera in order to see the IR radiation that cannot be seen normally by the human eye. My lab partner and I thought that it would be interesting to take a thermal image of my body before, and after, standing outside in the heat for a period of 5 minutes. The thermal imaging camera indicated that my body temperature increased from 30 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius. The amount of IR radiation being emitted from my body drastically increased after standing outside for a period of time. This picture would be interesting to a scientist who is interested in the body and how it automatically regulates body temperature. Using the thermal imaging camera was a unique experience and I would enjoy using it for other experiments in the future. | This experiment utilized a thermal imaging camera in order to see the IR radiation that cannot be seen normally by the human eye.
