For this semester helicobacter pylori has become a point of interest to me. When researching about this particular bacteria, I gained more knowledge on the bacteria that was the cause of my gastric and duodenal ulcer. I would like to research more on the bacteria and its effect on the mucosal lining in the stomach. First, I will begin working closely with both DPPE and DPPS to observe and collect data on the behavior of the helicobacter pylori. Later on in the research, I would like to construct an environment that resembles the stomach with a lipidbilayer that is similar to the mucosal lining. Introducing the

Proposal

For this semester helicobacter pylori has become a point of interest to me. When researching about this particular bacteria, I gained more knowledge on the bacteria that was the cause of my gastric and duodenal ulcer. I would like to research more on the bacteria and its effect on the mucosal lining in the stomach. First, I will begin working closely with both DPPE and DPPS to observe and collect data on the behavior of the helicobacter pylori. Later on in the research, I would like to construct an environment that resembles the stomach with a lipidbilayer that is similar to the mucosal lining. Introducing the H pylori in this environment will allow the bacteria to behave in a different way. Collection of the data will give me different curves given by the Langmuir trough to evaluate. I will be able to observe the rate at which the lipids come into order.
