Isolation of CRP for Use with Atomic Force MicroscopyThe goal of this research is to isolate the protein cAMP receptor protein (CRP), also known as catabolite activator protein (CAP), to study DNA-protein binding interactions utilizing atomic force microscopy (AFM). The binding force between CRP and its DNA binding sequence will be measured with AFM. This research is led by Professor Laura Moore at Monmouth College (see Faculty Information Page).
