Welcome to the planning page for Chem 312 Spring 2022.

Greetings,

I am looking forward to getting back to the classroom (i have been on sabbatical this past fall); i hope you are ready to roll! Unfortunately, the first 2 weeks will be a bit non-traditional. Here is the game plan for the first 2-weeks:
1) Here is the syllabus, please read and understand.
2) I will not lecture on ZOOM...this may change if we stay virtual more than 2 weeks.
3) I will share daily (MWF) assignments via email/wiki at the start of each class period (9 am MWF).
4) We will not meet in person for the first lab (Tuesday 2-5), but during the second week, i will ask you to come into the PChem lab in smaller groups (2-3pm, 3-4pm, 4-5pm) to learn how to glassblow. As you may know, we have 4 glassblowing stations, so working in small groups might be a better strategy.
5) During these first 2 weeks, I expect you to check your email at class/lab time and then use the next 50 mins/4 hrs to complete the assignment. This is referred to as meeting synchronously. You may be asked to turn in (email) some work by the end of the class period.
6) We will use the table below to convey course content and expectations.
