The high range pH test comes from the Saltwater Master Test Kit created by API MARINE
What the test is used for:
A high range pH test is utilized to determine the pH of the show tank The test may be used to measure the pH of other areas of the aquarium
Effect of pH on Aquarium:
The pH test determines acidity/basicity of the aquarium water Different pH levels are safe for varying types of biological life
Test Procedure:
1) Fill a clean test tube with 5 ml of water to be tested 2) Add 5 drops of High Range pH Test Solution 3) Cap the test tube and invert tube multiple times to mix solution 4) Determine the pH by comparing the color of the solution to the High Range pH Color Chart
Recommended pH:
A pH of 7.5 is ideal for most live bearing fish (such as mollies and swordtails) Goldfish will thrive at a pH of 7.5 as well Marine Fish and invertebrates require a pH between 8.2 - 8.4
