What to look for in a kitchen coordinator[modified from refernece 1]:
:1) The ability to work with diverse groups of people,
:2) The ability to teach, advise, listen and encourage,
:3) Interest in cooking, food, and nutrition,
:4) Knowledge of adult learning principles (for an overview see
Appendix C: Adult Learning Principles, page 31)
:5) The ability to multi‐task and work in a busy atmosphere,
:6) Knowledge of "Food" regulations, and
:7) The ability to budget and manage funds.

The kitchen coordinator can help with:
:1) Finding a location,
:2) Putting kitchen partners in place & promoting the kitchen,
:3) Assisting in establishing and maintaining harmony of the group,
:4) Shopping for food & keeping a budget,
:5) Keeping an inventory of supplies, organizing storage areas, etc.,
:6) Planning and facilitating kitchen sessions, and
:7) Ensuring health and safety practices are followed in the kitchen
