New page

Ingredients: dough (made using basic bread recipe), baking soda, water, sea salt.

Directions: Make dough using basic dough recipe. Preheat oven to 450°. Prepare a baking soda and hot water solution with 1/2 cup of baking soda and 4 cups of water. Place the dough on an oiled or floured surface and cut into pieces. Roll out the dough pieces, forming dough ropes. Form these dough ropes into pretzel-like shapes. Dip the pretzel-shaped dough into the baking soda/water solution. Sprinkle these freshly dipped pretzels with sea salt and bake until golden brown. Test using a toothpick or fork to make sure they are full cooked. (This usually takes 8-12 minutes.)
