We will cover topics, such as atomic theory, nomenclature (chemical naming), chemical reactions, stoichiometry (keeping track of elements during a chemical reaction), thermochemistry (heat generating reactions), chemical bonding, gas behavior, and kinetics (the rate of chemical reactions). The textbook uses practical applications and examples to illustrate these principles. Chemistry is an exciting field with many job opportunities.
